Bannari Amman Group ventured into manufacturing of Cotton yarn in 1989 near Dindigul and earned reputation in domestic and international market within a short span of time. With 40000 spindles capacity in Unit I the mill produces around 20 tons of cotton yarn per day. 

The Textile Mills has produced 6144 Tons of yarn and sold 7065 tons during the year 2008-09

The company established its second unit spinning mill in 2009 near Coimbatore with an installed capacity of 50000 spindles and produces around 30 tons of cotton yarn per day.

Besides yarn the company produces around 12 tons of grey knitted fabric by installing 33 nos. of circular knitting machinery.

The second spinning mill is equipped with the state of art spinning machinery like blowroom & carding from Truetzchler Germany, comber & drawframe from Rieter Switzerland, Ring Frame with autodoffer from LMW India, Linkconer from Muratae Japan and Testing equipments from Uster Switzerland.

Both the Spinning Mills specialize in production of 100% cotton yarn for knitting and currently manufacture major counts between Ne 20/1 to 40/1. Strong brand image is established in major knitting centres like Tiruppur, kolkatta & Kanpur and around 25% of the production is exported to Far East & European countries.

The Wind Mill Division has produced 165.99 lakh units in the year 2008-09.

The new Knitting Division near Palladam to produce knitted fabric, has commenced operations in April 09.

A project for manufacture of knitted garments is being set up near Palladam.

Both the mills are equipped with the latest generation spinning machinery from LMW Coimbatore, Rieter Switzerland, Autoconers from Schlafhorst Germany & TFO from Volkman & Muratae. The mills are also equipped with complete range of testing equipments from Uster Switzerland to test raw cotton and yarn. For production of high grade weaving & knitting yarn, the mills made major investments in RIETER COM4 & SUSSEN ELITE COMPACT SPINNING system and around 70000 spindles are equipped with compact facility.

Raw material is sourced from select cotton fields in India and imported regularly from Australia, USA & Other countries for production of finer counts, Giza cotton from Egypt & Pima from USA is sourced.

The mill is equipped to produce cotton yarn in wide count range and yarn production from the above two mills comes to around 55 tons per day. The mills produce following counts for domestic & export market.

The product range includes Ne 16/1 to Ne 60/1 carded & combed knitting yarn and Ne 40/1 to Ne 100/1 combed weaving COMPACT yarn. Click here for more details
