A careful study of the industrial scenario reveals that the core engineering activities are not much affected by the recession. It is observed that the Electrical and Electronics industry being a core activity has always shown a steady growth even during the phases of recession. The field of Electrical and Electronics Engineering offers excellent opportunities in the burgeoning domains such as Embedded systems, Power Electronics, Advanced Control Engineering and Power system analysis, etc Further, Electrical Engineers form the backbone of any country. They provide the power for industrial and do0mestic needs. We produce quality electrical engineers. The laboratories of the department are well equipped with modern equipment and latest software. There is a team of 24 dedicated faculty members in the department, out of which 12 members are postgraduates, 5 members have been deputed for higher studies and one has registered for Ph.D.
